Students make UK's Biggest Burrito

Students from Bristol University have broken the UK record for the biggest Burrito, by a massive 12 feet!

Ten students and staff from a local Burrito Bar were taking part in a charity drive as part of Raising and Giving week. The 77ft 3inch monster took just under 30 mins to make, and was then sold off in portions to raise money for charities in the area.

The massive burrito was then demolished by hungry spice lovers, and raised £270 for good causes.

The burrito was made from 118 overlapping 12-inch tortillas, 45kg of rice, beans, meats and salsa - all donated by the restaurant - and beat the record set by Benito's Hat in London last December, which measured 65ft.

The Atherstone Ball Game - one rule- Don't kill anyone!

This is the 'Atherstone Ball Game, an 800 year old annual tradition held in the English town of Atherstone.

The aim of the game is to hold onto the ball, and stop anyone else from taking it by literally any means necessary, and be the last one holding it after two hours.

It is a free-for-all event which takes place along the town's Watling Street. At 3:00pm every Shrove Tuesday, a unique and heavy leather ball decorated with ribbons is thrown from the window of the town's branch of Barclays Bank and the game begins. With the winner holding the ball when the game finishes at 5:00pm. If you manage to grab a ribbon, you may exchange it for cash, and the winner gets the honour of keeping the ball.

The rules are even simpler. Don't kill anyone.

This years game was the 813th running of The Atherstone Ball Game and organisers were delighted with the event, “The general consensus of opinion is that we’ve had the best game for years."

This years winner, John Slesser, held onto the ball for a massive 35 minutes, clinging on for dear life at the bottom of a huge crushing mass of bodies, feet and fists, as the final frantic moments of the game played out.

Chuck Norris to have bridge named after him in Slovakia

People in a Slovakian city are voting overwhelmingly in favour of naming a bridge close to the country's capital after action star and all round badman, Chuck Norris.

The Morova river bridge into Austria looks set to be known as the Chuck Norris Bridge with the film star currently having a large percentage of the vote.

Regional assembly will make the final decision but officials have said that the internet ballot's decision will be respected.

A Regional governor said: 'The same way as we have so far been building it in full sight of the public, we will seek that the name is accepted by the public as well.'

Also in contention for the name of the bridge are former Austro-Hungarian empress Maria Thereas, who currently has eight per cent of the vote in second place, along with a small village close to the bridge, Devinska.

Google's new privacy policy is massive invasion of privacy!

As I'm sure you're aware, if you use any google products, they're changing their privacy policy. Now, I'm sure many of you, like me, have disregarded the warnings, who has time to read all the legal jargon and BS? Just click accept and move on.....

Anyway, this new policy has been savaged by critics after revealing plans to link user data across its email, video, social-networking and other services. Google plan to piece together info gathered from as many of their products as possible, Gmail, YouTube, G+ and it's much used search engine.

Upon first glance, this doesn't seem that bad. The examples given obviously show it in a good light. For example, if you spend an hour signed in to a Google account searching the Web for skateboards, the next time you log into YouTube, you might get recommendations for videos featuring Tony Hawk, along with ads for his merchandise and the nearest place to buy them. But would this also work on sensitive items such as dildos, swingers clubs etc? What if you share a computer/YouTube account with other members of your family? Would you want them to know you were searching for Rudies?

Cecilia Kang, of the Washington Post gave an interesting scenario: ‘A user of Gmail, for instance, may send messages about a private meeting with a colleague and may not want the location of that meeting to be thrown into Google's massive cauldron of data or used for Google's maps application. It means that things you could do in relative anonymity today, will be explicitly associated with your name, your face, your phone number. If you use Google's services, you have to agree to this new privacy policy. It is an explicit reversal of its previous policies.’

Ferrari left in garage for 30 years worth £60,000!

An upcoming specialist car auction has a special car amongst its lots; a 1961 Ferrari 250 GTE!

The rare car, once owned by famous movie director Agostino De Laurentiis, has been going rusty in a Kent garage for the last 30 years, after the owner inherited it from her late father.

It still needs a lot of work to be restored to its original condition, £100,000 worth to be exact. However the steep refurbishment tag should not put off potential buyers given its rarity and history.

Despite the vehicle's obvious defects, Bonhams auctioneers believe thecollector's car will be 'one of the highlights' of the upcoming auction in March.

'This well-preserved "barn find" represents a wonderful opportunity to acquire an original and untouched early Ferrari 250GTE, ripe for sympathetic restoration by a fortunate new owner,' claimed specialist Rob Hubbard.

'It has been locked in a garage in Kent for many years. The current owner had planned to restore it since she inherited the car but has never got round to it,' said a Bonhams spokesman.

World record tallest pancake stack!!

A chef from Australia has set a new world record for Shrove Tuesday/Pancake Day by stacking 60 pancakes on top of each other.

Australian chef Andy Wrobel beat a 2008 record set in Croatia after building his stack at the Pancake Parlour in Melbourne. Guinness officials confirmed the new record before the stack toppled.

Andy has been working as head chef at the restaurant for over 25 years, and claims he flips over 100,000 pancakes every year!

Andy said 'We tried last year and we got to 61 centimetres and did pretty well. We thought we'd give it another go and this year we actually did it. We had a lot of practices, spent about 50 hours, probably used another quarter of a ton of buckwheat mix, and we finally got to the point where we needed to go.'

Andy plans to beat his own record next year.

15 year-old spots parents in swinging TV documentary

An unnamed 15 year old girl from Germany has seen what nobody else would want to; her parents on a TV documentary about a swingers club!

The teenager saw footage of them enjoying themselves at a sex club for swingers on a website of German channel RTL.

The parents of this girl had agreed to be filmed for the programme, but on condition their identities were obscured, which was not adhered to.

Seeking damages in court for 'mental anguish and suffering', a judge threw the case out, as he didn't think it would be appropriate for a child to testify on a sexual nature. 'I wouldn't want to be in your shoes. That's simply embarrassing' he told them.

They were however given legal expenses and a small appearance fee after the judge 'asked' the production company to provide them.

Man balances 23 benches on his teeth!

How's this for a bench press.....

Li Hongxiao from china has claimed a new world record, by balancing 23 wooden benches using only his teeth!

Li surpassed the previous record of 14 with somewhat ease, and with each bench weighing 3 kg, the combined weight came to a staggering 69kg, almost as much as much as his own 75kg body weight!

An athlete and street performer from southwest China, Li has been performing since an early age, and has been balancing items such as ladders, benches and bamboo poles for over 10 years.

During his training, while attempting to balance 12 benches for the very first time, Li escaped with eighteen stitches in his lower lip after the garden seats fell off.

Street cleaner finds Â£60k worth of watches, and hands them in!

Street cleaner Arron Large was performing his daily cleaning rounds when he spotted something gold and shiny in a drain. A £21,000 Rolex!

After handing in the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Cosmograph to local Essex police, local television heard the news and decided to cover it. They went with Mr Large to the same spot to explain his story and they was stunned to find three more expensive watches – another Rolex, an Omega and A Franck Muller.

He has been commended for his honesty after discovering the watches, and

If the owners do not come forward within 30 days, the father-of-two could pocket the value of all four watches – estimated to be around £60,000.

Mr Large, 28, from Rayleigh, said: "I told my colleague you're not going to believe me but I've found another one. He said ‘shut up’, but when I took it out and wiped it off I realised it really was another Rolex. A few people have said no they wouldn't hand it in, but at the end of the day I thought it was the right thing to do."

Police are investigating wether the watches are stolen, however nobody has come forward yet.

Triple Bypass Burger gives man Heart Attack

A man eating a Triple Bypass Burger at the Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas, did just that, and had a heart attack.

While munching on the 6000 calorie burger, he started suffering chest pains. Paramedics were called and the man was removed on a stretcher.

The unidentified man, in his 40's, was feasting on the calorie packed burger which contains three slabs of meat, 12 slices of bacon and is accompanied by 'Flatliner Fries'. The diner, which uses the phrase- 'A taste worth dying for'- has previously come under criticism in the US for its irresponsible promotion and glorification of unhealthy eating.

Critics have suggested that this may be a publicity stunt, claiming it a bit convenient that a man had a heart attack in a diner called 'The Heart Attack Grill'. The Owner Jon Basso has staunchly denied this: 'The gentleman could barely talk. He was sweating, suffering. I actually felt horrible for him because the tourists were taking photos of him as if it were some type of stunt. Even with our own morbid sense of humour, we would never pull a stunt like that.'

Sea lion Swipes Shakira

Columbian superbabe Shakira has tweeted about being attacked by a wild Sea Lion, after she stupidly tried to pet it!

"I thought to myself how cute they were so I decided to get a bit closer than all of the other tourists and went down to a rock trying to pet them, doing a baby talk while taking pictures," she said on Facebook.

"Suddenly, one of them jumped out of the water so fast and impetuously that it got about one foot away from me, looked me in the eye, roared in fury and tried to bite me. Everyone there screamed, including me. I was paralysed by fear and couldn't move."

She was saved by her brother by hauling her out of the sea lion's reach.

Shakira said she thought the animal had mistaken her Blackberry phone for a fish and gone after it.

Heaviest baby born at 15.5 lbs!

A woman from china has given birth to a baby at a massive 15.5 lbs!

Named Chun Chun, mother Wang Yujuan, 29, had him delivered by Caesarean section yesterday. The proud father Han Jingang said that the pregnancy was normal, and she hadnt increased her eating any more than the last pregnancy, an 8.8 lb girl. “But she’s given birth to such a big, fat son. I feel very happy" he added.

Wang told reporters: "I clearly felt that my body was more clumsy than when I had been pregnant with my daughter. My belly was bigger than it was then. I guessed the baby would be between ten and 11 pounds. I never expected to hear that he weighs 15.5 pounds."

The heaviest birth listed by Guinness World Records belongs to a baby boy born in 1879 in Ohio, who weighed 23 pounds 12 ounces at birth and whose mother was said to be a "giantess." Unfortunately, the baby died 11 hours after.

A British website has developed cutlery that helps you work out - while you eat.

Eat Fit Cutlery is designed to look like dumbbells, and weigh the same also. So, when you're tucking into your Full English (pictured), you can burn calories too!

The chrome plated knife and fork each weigh 1 kilogram, while the spoon measures in at an extraordinary two kilograms.

The cutlery set is described as good for 'gluttons in need of a work out', however its a little on the pricey side. A set of three will cost the princely sum of £89.99!

Swastika flowerbed created 'by accident'

A small UK town twinned with a German town has accidentally created a flowerbed in the middle of a roundabout, in the shape of a swastika!

Council workers in the Somerset village of Weston were ordered to dig up a portion of the flowerbed over winter, but left parts unfinished. A number of residents complained to the local council, and the offensive mark has now been totally removed.

The council have since apologised and expressed 'shock' over the unfortunate flower arrangement. They insist their aim is to keep all flowerbeds under their control looking 'attractive'. Their website states 'We aim to keep shrub beds clean, weed-free and to prune them to promote flowering.'

The swastika came to prominence in Europe in 1930s as the symbol of the Nazi party. It has since become outlawed in Germany, aside for religious or educational purposes.

Oddball admits to fucking over 1000 cars!

Edward Smith from Washington state claims to suffer from mechaphilia, the intense sexual desire of cars.

Mr Smith, 57, first realised cars literally turned him on at age 13, and first had sex with a car at the age of 15, and claims he has never been attracted to women or men.

"As far as women go, they never really interested me much. And I'm not gay.”

He also added: "There are moments way out in the middle of nowhere when I see a little car parked and I swear it needs loving. There have been certain cars that attracted me and I would wait until night time, creep up to them and just hug and kiss them.

Mr Smith is now part of a global community of more than 500 “car lovers” brought together by internet forums.

All I'm thinking is the actual 'mechanics' (no pun intended) of the 'intercourse'. Does he stick it up the exhaust or just rub himself against a seat. Maybe he finds a crevice somewhere and sticks his pecker in....

George Clooney look-a-like looks nothing like him!

An Irish George Clooney look-a-like contest has been won, by a man who looks nothing like him!

David Glendon, 27, was picked from 782 other entries who had to post in a picture and his prize is a trip to the Oscars later in this month. Unfortunately, due to work commitments, he cannot attend.

'I was taken by surprise when I was told I'd won. 'There's been a lot of debate since about whether I look like him. But someone thought I did, so I'll take the good with the bad', said Mr Glendon.

The contest was organised in Kilkenny by local Gabriel Murray, who is filming a documentary about Clooney's roots there. He insisted: "It wasn't just about looks, there were a lot of other factors in consideration. We took into account the demeanour of the entrant."

The 27-year-old Kilkenny local scooped the prize, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to attend the Oscars in Los Angeles in March.

But his physical likeness to the Clooney has been called into question by some on Mr Glendon's local newspaper website the Kilkenny People.

One commenter wrote: 'What criteria was used? Possibly just one? That he be male and have hair?'

Another, slightly cruelly, said: 'Who judged this? Stevie Wonder?'

Meet 'Harvey Dent', the two-faced kitten!

A cat owning couple from Florida had a shock when their cat gave birth to a kitten with two faces!

Owners Nash Hand and Amanda Forsythe decided to name the little tyke Harvey Dent after the super villain 'Twoface' from the comic Batman. According to the owners, his two mouth, two noses and four eyes all work perfectly, and he is healthy and otherwise normal.

Amanda said 'They simultaneously work together, the two faces. 'When he eats on one side it looks like he is eating on the other… when he meows it comes out of both sides.'

Luckily Harvey Dent's mother, Nene, has accepted him along with the rest of the litter, and he is nursing properly.

Ms Forsythe said she intends to raise Harvey normally, despite calls from others to have the animal euthanised. She sought help and information online, and found people advising her that the kitten should be put down as a 'beast' or an 'abomination'.

'We are definitely not going to kill it,' she said. 'I am not going to let somebody tell me that it needs to be done. It shouldn't be killed just because it is a little different.'

Two-faced cats, otherwise known as Janus cats after the Roman god with two faces, are examples of the extremely rare condition of diprosopus where two faces are mirrored on a single head.

According to Guinness World Records the oldest two-faced cat lived to the grand old age of 12, which is about 70 in cat years.

Online RPG thief gets a conviction!

A 13 year old boy from Holland was forced at knifepoint to give up his online possessions, so the thieves could own them themselves.

The 19 year old unnamed thief and an accomplice were said to of beaten, kicked and threatened the boy until he agreed to 'drop' the items inside the world’s most popular free RPG 'Runescape'.

The Amulet and Mask were then 'picked up' by the thief, making them his own virtual property. They were convicted in a Dutch court, and one of the accused appealed to the Supreme Court, who upheld the ruling. They ordered the offender to perform 144 hours of community service.

I agree the thieves should be brought to book, but this is surely to open up a can of worms, with 'virtual goods' now being able to be stolen, bought and sold, black market items will surely become sought after.

Maybe this will be a deterrent to others.....
